Your network can also lead to future collaborations and partnerships with instructors.
Gain exposure for your work.
Skillshare is a huge marketplace that gets tons of traffic each and every day.
I've had so many different entrepreneurs and companies reach out to me for collaborations and partnerships simply because they found me on Skillshare.
Don't underestimate the power of exposure on the platform.
Practice engaging and communicating with a student base.
Once a student joins one of your classes, they will be notified each time you post a new class. You also have access to send those students occasional emails via Skillshare.
If this is your first time teaching, this gives you an opportunity to practice how you communicate with your students, motivate them, and get them to know, like, and trust you even more.

One thing that I really love about publishing classes on Skillshare is that as long as you have at least 30 premium minutes of class time watched by your students each month, you get paid every month on the 16th–WITHOUT FAIL.
The size of those paychecks fluctuates, but it is a steady income.

Hopefully, the reasons I've given above have convinced you that Skillshare is a great place to teach a class.
I've been a Skillshare teacher for a couple of years now and it's still enjoyable. While I don't make a full-time income from Skillshare, I do make a steady chunk of side income that gets automatically deposited in my PayPal account once per month.
It's enough of an income chunk that it's worth suggesting that you explore it as a new income stream.
One strategy that has been super helpful for me is to publish a “lite” version of some of my courses on Skillshare and then publish the full version of my course with any add-ons and bonuses via my Teachable school.
So, I'm effectively taking the same content and making it available in two different places–this means more exposure and more income 🙂
